Why We Don’t Recommend Medicare Advantage Plans
At AOTC, we prefer not to participate in and do not recommend Medicare Replacement Plans or Medicare Advantage Plans. That is because these plans do not cover some of the latest and most effective arthritis treatments, including Biologics (also known as IV infusion treatment). These are very important for the treatment of arthritis and any rheumatologic disease.
We do not want our patients to suffer or feel helpless because of their insurance plans. Patients may think they are receiving a cost-effective solution with these plans, only to find the treatments they need must be paid out-of-pocket or with high co-pays. That is why we recommend insurance plans that cover the cost of Biologics and other state-of-the-art arthritis treatments.
